Windows XP comes with it’s own secure, build-in firewall.
This new firewall is better than the older version, but still
can be improved.
This (XP) firewall is checking only the incoming (inbound) datatraffic.
Outgoing (outbound) packets are not stopped.
If you want to have a good overview, thats a problem.
In such case it’s usefull, to use an alternative firewall like ZoneAlarm.
ZoneAlarm is a free firewall from Zonelabs.
The newest versions are compatible with service pack 2,
and also check the outbound traffic!

This firewall also checks your outbound traffic!

DO NOT FORGET to shut down the Windows Firewall, because
using 2 firewalls at the same time can cause strange networkproblems!!
